Make the most of your stay in Alice Springs by visiting the region’s must-visit site: Uluro, more commonly known as Ayers Rock, on this 3-day 2-night excursion!
- Day 1: Early in the morning, after being picked up at your hotel in Alice Springs, you will begin your journey to Ayers Rock. On the way, you will stop off at a camel farm and can, if you wish, have a ride on one of them (not included in price). You will arrive at Ayers Rock at lunch time. After lunch, you will begin by visiting the site of Kata Tjuta (Olga Mountains) and take in the spectacular views. In the evening, you will sleep in a large permanent tent (twin beds) or in a typically Australian sleeping bag that protects from insects and allows you to gaze at the stars.
- Day 2: Make the most of the fresh morning temperatures and the sunrise to go for a walk around the area. Then, in the company of an Aboriginal guide, you will set off on a cultural tour, where you will learn more about the Aborigines. Marvel at the typical, authentic artwork and pottery on display. In the evening, you will head towards Watarrka National Park (Kings Canyon) and sleep on site.
- Day 3: Start the day by pulling on your walking shoes and heading to Kings Canyon. You will come across some breathtakingly well-preserved sites, pass through an ancient amphitheatre, a lost city or even the “Garden of Eden”. Finally, you will have lunch before going back to Alice Springs and being dropped off at your hotel.
You are sure to make lasting memories on this excursion.
