Description

Take a walking tour of Bangkok and enjoy a cruise on a traditional boat!

You'll meet your guide at Sanam Chai station, then head to the banks of the Chao Phraya River (also known as the River of Kings) where you'll board a "long-tail" boat. You'll understand why Bangkok is referred to as the "Venice of the Orient": you'll set off to explore the canals, AKA khlongs, that start at Chao Phraya and criss-cross the city. Some canals were covered and replaced by roads and neighbourhoods that are a far cry from the bustling city centre.

You'll then walk to the Grand Palace and stroll through the gardens while your guide tells you about the history of this palace and the Wat Phra Kaew temple, one of the holiest in the country and the nation's spiritual centre.

Your tour will end with a visit to Wat Pho temple, home to the famous golden reclining Buddha. You can then continue your visit at your own place - your guide will tell you the best way to explore the complex.
