Description

Journey to the heart of Inca civilisation with a guided tour of the impressive Machu Picchu!

At an altitude of over 2,000 metres, you'll set off on a tour of around 2 hours through the Lost Citadel. You'll explore the main paths of the site and stop several times to take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside, perfect for taking photos. Surrounded by sheer cliffs, mysterious Machu Picchu is immaculately preserved.

With the famous Huana Picchu as a backdrop, you'll explore the famous Temple of the Three Windows, in particular, as well as the Intihuatana and the cultivation terraces. Through anecdotes and secrets, your guide will immerse you in the history of the site's first inhabitants, the Incas!

With the optional bus transport, your guide will accompany you from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu. You will take the Hiram Bingham route, named after the explorer who discovered this incredible site. At the end of your visit, you will take the return journey to Aguas Calientes.

  • Bus journey time: approximately 30 minutes - allow 1 hour for travel both ways
  • Don't forget to bring your passport, which will be required
  • The tour will be conducted in both English and Spanish by a multilingual guide
  • With the bus transport option, your guide will pick you up on foot outside your hotel in Aguas Calientes and accompany you to the bus station. If you are arriving by train, they will meet you at the station. You will be given the exact pick-up time after booking
  • This tour is only available for entrance to Machu Picchu at 8am, 10am and 11am
  • You will need to select an arrival time when booking. This is your entry time at Machu Picchu. You must arrive at the Machu Picchu citadel at the time specified on your ticket. Please note that this is not the time for the shuttle bus.
  • Plan to leave from Aguas Calientes at least 50 minutes before your chosen entry time.
