Description

Enjoy a Hawaiian pirogue​ sail tour to discover the Mokulua Islands and polynesian culture!

Departing from Kailua Beach, you will board a traditional Hawaiian pirogue accompanied by your local guide. You will head out to sea towards the Mokulua Islands. You will enjoy a private cruise to learn more about the history of the island and of polynesian culture.

You will head to Mokulua Nui Island for a beautiful stopover of about 2 hours. You will enjoy some free time to go for a hike on the mainland, to go for a swim in 'Queen's Bath' (natural seawater basin situated between boulders), or to relax on the beach. You will also be able to freely explore the coral reefs of Kailua thanks to the snorkel masks that you can borrow.

You will then return to Kailua. Choosing the 11am or 3pm departure, you will have the choice to continue your day ina  local restaurant to taste some delicious food.

  • Departure times: 7am, 11am and 3pm
  • Departure location: Kailua Beach (on the east cost of Oahu)
  • Duration: 3 hours without meals, 5 hours with meals (you will spend about 2 hours of free time on the island)

 

  • Children under the age of 5 and pregnant women aren't allowed to participate in this activity
  • The Hawaiian priogue will be sailed by your guide, you won't have an opportunity to paddle during this tour
  • A minimum of 2 people is required to reserve this tour
  • For the afternoon, choosing the option with a meal will give you a $20 ticket for use in a restaurant (speciality burgers with fish and vegetarian options). Lunch will start ar 2:20pm
  • For the evening, choosing the option with a meal will give you a $30 ticket for use in a restaurant (local specialities of meat, chicken and fish with sides). Dinner will start at 6:30pm
