Follow your guide to discover Jerusalem and Bethlehem and visit some iconic religious sites!
Your driver will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the top of Mount Scopus, which overlooks Jerusalem. From the top of this mountain you'll enjoy breathtaking views of the city, its monuments, the Temple Mount, and the Dome of the Rock.
You'll head back down Mount Scopus via the Kidron Valley and pass by the Garden of Gethsemane and the Church of All Nations. You'll then enter the Old City of Jerusalem through Zion Gate and step into the Jewish Quarter with its ancient carved-out street, the Cardo.
Next, stop off at the Western Wall, the only remaining part of the Second Temple, which was destroyed in 70 AD. Take a moment to meditate and place a prayer between the stones of the wall.
Follow the path that Jesus carried his cross down, the Via Dolorosa, which leads to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. This church, which contains over 30 chapels, is located at the site where Jesus was crucified; it is also where he was buried.
Next, leave the city and head to Bethlehem, the birthplace of Christ. See the Basilica of the Nativity in Manger Square. This church is located above the Nativity grotto where Christ was born. Peruse the 12th century and 4th century mosaics of the church.
Finish up exploring Bethlehem and the Church of the Angels in the Shepherds' Field and the Field of Ruth, where King David's great-grandmother met Boaz; you'll then return to your hotel.
