Description

Soar over the Grand Canyon and admire the sheer size of this magnificent natural site for 45 minutes!

Departing from Tusayan Airport, the main entry to the southern side of the Grand Canyon National Park, fly above this surprising rocky landscape towards the Eastern part of the Grand Canyon. Cross the Canyon at the Zuni Point Corridor and admire both the colours of the desert as well as the Navajo Indian Reservation along the Colorado River.

The flight continues over the Northern Rim, giving you views of the plateau and the Kaibab National Forest. You will also be able to view the summit of Imperial Point (The highest point in the Grand Canyon!).

At the end of this aerial tour, you will return to the South Rim.

  • Availability: Monday to Sunday (excluding exceptional dates)
  • Departure point: Tusayan Airport (the Grand Canyon South Rim airport)
  • Duration: Anticipate 90 minutes (the flight lasts between 40 and 50 minutes)
  • Language: An audio guide is available for the flight in 9 languages (including English)
  • Please arrive at the terminal 30 minutes before departure for boarding
  • Each passenger must present valid proof of ID in order to board the helicopter
  • This activity is subject to weather conditions. If the flight you booked is unavailable, you will be offered a different route, an alternative date or a full refund. If you change your flight to a different route, only the difference between the two options will be refunded
  • The plane used may be a twin otter (17 seats) or a caravan (9 places) depending the on the availabilities  
  • Children under 2 years of age travel free and sit on the laps of their parents.
  • You are permitted to transport bottled water on board, but be aware that you are prohibited from opening them during the duration of the flight
  • For the safety and comfort of all passengers on-board, participants weighing over 135kg / 300lb may be asked to pay a supplement. This supplement, payable on the day, is imposed by the service provider
  • This activity is not suitable for people with reduced mobility
  • Due to rising oil prices, a surcharge of $15 per person will be payable locally, directly with our partner.
  • From April 1st, 2024 there will be no additionnal fuel costs to be paid on site. It is included in the price
