Make the most of your stay in Lisbon to explore Setúbal on foot and the Comporta nature reserve on horseback!
You'll meet your guide in Lisbon city centre and set off towards Setúbal, reputed to have been one of Portugal's most important fishing ports of the 20th century. Accompanied by your guide, you will visit the Mercado do Livramento, the city's must-see fish market. In Setúbal's historic centre, you'll see the Church of Jesus of Setúbal, which is listed as a national monument, and Fort São Felipe, from where you can enjoy a panoramic view. You will then take a 25-minute ferry ride along the Troia peninsula, one of the longest coastlines in Europe, with 40 miles sandy beaches. On arrival, you'll explore this highly protected nature reserve on horseback making your way through rice fields, pine forests and dunes to the village and beach of Comporta. This activity offers you the chance to discover unique, unspoilt landscapes. You will be driven back to Lisbon after an original excursion.
