Description

The Globe Theatre is the world-famous venue that showcased the works of the talented William Shakespeare.

The Globe Theatre reopened in 1997 and stands a few hundred yards from its original site in 1642.

Your expert guide will take you on a fascinating 45 minute tour of this iconic site, with colourful stories about the theatre's history and will transport you back to 1599, the year of The Globe's construction and the heyday of Shakespeare. You will also discover everything about the painstaking reconstruction and admire the "Wooden O" – a unique architectural building! Afterwards, you can enjoy live demonstrations of  Elizabethan dressing, stage fighting and printing the plays!

After your visit to this prestigious theatre, you will have the opportunity to relax in the Shakespeare’s Globe, Swan Restaurant. Enjoy a classic English Afternoon Tea presented on our bespoke A Midsummer Night’s Dream crockery, which comprises a selection of sandwiches, cakes and an English tea blend of your choice and a glass of Prosecco.
