Visit the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage and the Giraffe Centre, two of Nairobi's must-sees, on an animal-focused excursion!
Giraffe Centre
In the early morning, you'll be picked up from your hotel in Nairobi and set off on your first visit. You'll start the day at the giraffe centre. Since it opened in 1979, the centre has taken in, bred and then released around 500 giraffes into the wild, including the endangered Rothschild giraffe. During the visit, you will have the opportunity to feed the giraffes under the supervision of the guides.
David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage
You will then visit the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, the elephant orphanage. As its name suggests, the centre takes in young orphaned elephants. They are fed and raised until they are 2-3 years old, and then released back into the bush once they are ready to survive in the wild. You'll stroll around the centre and watch the elephant calves play and trot to greet their keepers, who stand by with giant bottles of milk.

This is a pottery factory that makes beads and jewellery, handmade by local women. You'll learn about all the stages involved in making these beads, which are now exported all over the world!
Bomas of Kenya
This is a cultural centre, built in the form of a village, set up by the government to promote Kenyan tribal traditions and culture. In its amphitheatre, you'll attend shows that take place every day from 2.30pm to 4pm: dance, music, comedy, fashion shows, etc., you'll learn more about Kenyan culture and enjoy an entertaining time!
National Museum of Kenya
You'll enjoy a guided tour of around an hour at the National Museum. You'll discover Kenya's history, heritage and culture.
After a day of exploration, you will be taken back to your hotel.
