Open May 2023, discover the Gilder Center for Science Education and Innovation. This center showcases a year-round vivarium with up to 1,000 free-flying butterflies, a huge insectarium, a gallery devoted to Earth’s most diverse and abundant animal group and home of the largest leafcutter ant colony in the US, and a floor-to-ceiling displays of the Museum’s scientific collections spread out across three levels that help us understand the natural world and global cultures.
Open May 2023, you'll also discover the Gilder Center for Science, Education and Innovation. This new space includes a vivarium with over 1000 butterflies, an insectarium and three floors of scientific collections.
