Historic official residence of the Kings of France, the Palace of Versailles was listed a UNESCO World Heritage site 30 years ago.

Your Versailles Passport gives you access to the entire domain:

  • The independent visit of the Palace of Versailles (audio guide included). Discover the Hall of Mirrors, the Grand Apartments, the King’s boudoir, the royal chapel and more...
  • The domain of Queen Marie Antoinette (or the Trianon). Visit the Petit and Grand Trianon and the Queen’s hamlet. This intimate part of the palace grounds, not far from the main residence, allowed Queen Marie Antoinette to escape the demands of court. The Queen also aided in the embellishment and development of this site.
  • Temporary exhibits
  • The gardens and the park

Please note that 1-Day Passport reservations with priority access are not available more than 2-3 months before the date of visit (depending on the period). You will receive your confirmation with the voucher (with mobile presentation possible) at most 48 hours before your visit.

IMPORTANT NOTE: it is now compulsory to reserve a time slot for your visit to the Palace of Versailles (all participants combined, including free admission for under-18s, EU residents under 26, teachers with a pass, people with disabilities + an accompanying person and French job seekers (with valid ID)

At the time of booking, you will be offered visit times. This ticket gives access to the Palace of Versailles within half an hour of the chosen time.

Good to know

  • Availability: every day (excluding Monday, December 25, January 1 and the first Sunday of every month from November to March, May 1 and other exceptional dates)
  •  Time: 9am – 5:30pm / last admission: 5pm
  • You will be asked to indicate a provisional date for your visit when you book, your ticket is restricted to this date. You may not use your ticket on the date of your choice, but only the date selected when booking. 
  • Your 1-day priority-access Passport allows you to avoid the line at the ticket desk ONLY. Security checks are OBLIGATORYand can take some time
  • Audio-guide languages: French, English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, German, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Polish
  • Location: Versailles - Entry A (the Dufour Pavilion located to the left of the honors court)
  • Pushchairs/strollers are not allowed within the palace
  • Stiletto heels are not recommended (uneven parquet flooring inside the palace and cobblestones without)
  • Access to the palace is difficult for people with reduced mobility
  • Photography without flash is permitted within the palace
  •  No pets allowed

PLEASE NOTE:  The special performance shows take place on the following dates: (admission included in the 1-day Passport if you have paid a higher tariff):

  • The Fountain Show:    
     
  • Every Saturday and Sundays, from April to October
  • Every Tuesday from May to June and other exceptionnal dates (see calendar)
     
  • The Musical Gardens:

  • Every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday in April and from July to October (except 14/07 and 15/08)
  • ​​​​​​​Every Wednesday , Thursday and Friday from May to June (except 18/05)
  • Holidays and special dates
     
  • Access to the Versailles Gardens is free for all visitors, everyday excluding on the days of the Fountain Show and Musical Gardens
  • Access to the gardens is free for children under 6 years of age on days of the Fountain Show and Musical Gardens
  • If you benefit from free admission to the Château and the domain de Trianon, tickets for the Fountain Show and Musical Gardens are for sale at the entry to the gardens
