Get away from bustling city life on a short break to the country. This enchanting 2-day getaway visits two UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Set off to explore the Mont Saint-Michel Abbey, known as the "Gothic Marvel", and be captivated by the beauty of this unique spot as you walk along the ramparts of the tidal island.
The cultural journey continues with visits to the different Châteaux of the Loire Valley, including the remarkable palaces of Chenonceau and Chambord.
The itinerary is planned as follows:
Day 1
Your coach departs from Paris and travels through the Normandy countryside before stopping for lunch in a restaurant overlooking Mont Saint-Michel from the edge of the bay.
After lunch, the coach will drop you off at the foot of Mont Saint-Michel from where you start the climb up to the abbey, either via the ramparts or through the village. Once you get to the top, you'll be taken on a guided tour of the spectacular Gothic-style building.
You will then have free time to explore the village at your own pace, soaking in the charming atmosphere and views. At 4:30pm, the coach will depart for Angers where you will check into your hotel and have dinner.
Day 2
After a buffet-breakfast at your hotel you will board the coach and set off for another day of sightseeing, stopping briefly to admire views of the château at Angers. The coach will then carry on to Langeais for a guided tour of the town's medieval château, followed by free time to have lunch in the Amboise wine-growing region.
In the afternoon, the trip continues with visits to Chenonceau Château and the former royal residence at Chambord; surrounded by a vast estate, this is the largest of all the châteaux in the entire Loire Valley.
After the tour of Chambord, your bus will depart for Paris to arrive at around 9pm.
