Description

Set off by coach to explore Claude Monet's home at Giverny, then move on to discover the Palace of Versailles, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, on this day trip filled with art and culture.

Located a 90-minute drive from Paris, the Giverny region is particularly famous as the setting for Claude Monet's house, which is listed as a historic monument. You will tour the gardens with your guide, who will tell you about the artist's life and work in these auspicious surroundings. You will then have free time to explore Monet's home and studio.

After your visit to Monet's house, your coach will take you to the "Moulin des Fourges" restaurant for lunch (located 10 minutes from Giverny), before carrying on to the Palace of Versailles.

The afternoon will have a royal theme, with a visit to the sumptuous palace built by Louis XIV the "Sun King" at Versailles.

Upon arrival, you will benefit from priority access and proceed directly to the most beautiful palace suites. Your guide will show you around the royal apartments, the Hall of Mirrors and the Queen's suite. You will also have free time to stroll in the ornate gardens and admire the elegant sculptures.

Your guide/interpretor will help you make the most of your visit to this exceptional palace by explaining the history of the building and the people that lived there.

Walk in the footsteps of France's powerful monarchs, discover their private retreats, and fall under the spell of this royal estate's artistic and architectural treasures.
