Description

Book your ticket in advance for the Borghese Gallery, a palazzo-museum located in the park of Villa Borghese!

The superb palace was built in the 16th century right in the heart of Rome and is today one of the world's most beautiful and renowned museums.

The Gallery is the former residence of Cardinal Scipione Borghese, who, between 1576 and 1633, made the&.#39;acquisition of a vast collection of œuvres by great artists of Antiquityé and the Italian Renaissance : Caravaggio, Bernini, Raphaël, Pérugin, Rubens, Titian...

You'll find statues and sculptures in white marble, but also paintings, frescoes and mosaïques on walls and ceilings, in virtually untouched écondition.

In particular, you can admire the célèbres œuvres: Bernini's Apollo and Daphné, Caravaggio's Sick Bacchus, David with the tête of Goliath, and more.

Take a stroll through the park's superb gardens and admire one of the finest art collections in the world!
