Explore the campus of Silicon Valley and its surroundings during this day trip from San Francisco!
After a drive from downtown San Francisco, you'll meet up with your guide and set off to discover Silicon Valley, the famous high-tech centre south of San Francisco. Once there, you'll start the day with a visit of Instagram's campus, where you can take a photo in front of its famous logo. You'll then explore the Googleplex, the playground of Google's campus employees, with its giant chessboard, volleyball court and numerous restaurants. You'll also find the famous garden of colorful Android sculptures.
You'll continue your tour with a visit of the Computer History Museum, where you'll see the world's first computers, the first machines on the market, as well as the beginnings of video games with Pac Man and Atari consoles. For lunch, you'll head to Palo Alto, one of the most expensive cities in the USA. Considered the cradle of Silicon Valley, it's home to some of the country's most erudite residents. If you have enough time left, you'll also visit the Hewlett-Packard Garage, birthplace of one of the world's leading electronics and computer company.
Finally, you'll discover Apple's brand-new visitor center. You'll be impressed by the building's circular shape and the new Apple products on display in the store. On the way back, you'll enjoy lush panoramic views, including the protected Crystal Springs reservoir and Lake San Andreas. You'll arrive in San Francisco at the end of the day.
