Explore northern Tanzania on this 2-day safari to Tarangire Park and the Ngorongoro Crater from Zanzibar!
Day 1: Zanzibar - Tarangire
Tarangire Park is the park with the most elephants in the world. It is also Tanzania's second largest park and home to many species of wild animals.
You will be collected from your hotel early in the morning and taken to Zanzibar airport. After a 2-hour flight, you will reach Tarangire Park where you will spend the day. Accompanied by your ranger guide, you will then be able to observe the animals in their natural habitat from your jeep: lions, leopards, giraffes... The park's water resources make it a magnet for the animals.
You will have your picnic lunch and dinner near Lake Manyara before spending the night at your lodge.
Day 2: Tarangire - Ngorongoro
After an early breakfast you will set off at dawn to Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
The crater is over 12 miles in diameter and two million years old, and is best known for being home to numerous wild animals in a concentrated area. You'll spend the day exploring the park and watching numerous animals in their native habitat. Your ranger guide will help you look for the famous black rhino, an endangered species, in particular.
You will have your picnic lunch in the crater and leave for Arusha at the end of the day to spend the night at your lodge (dinner is not included).
Day 3: Arusha - Zanzibar
After breakfast at the hotel, you will take a shuttle to the airport to fly back to Zanzibar. Air ticket times may be flexible.
On arrival in Zanzibar, a shuttle bus will be waiting to take you back to your hotel.
