Discover the Jungfraujoch, the "Top of Europe", on an unforgettable excursion from Zurich!
You'll start your day with a comfortable coach ride through the picturesque Bernese Oberland countryside with your guide. A short break is planned in Interlaken, a charming town situated between Lakes Brienz and Thun.
In Grindelwald, you'll take the ultramodern Eiger Express cable car, which offers spectacular views of the Eiger's north face. Arriving at the Eigergletscher station, you'll board the cogwheel train, which will take you through tunnels cut into the rock to the Jungfraujoch, 3,454 meters above sea level.
At the summit, you'll have free time to explore the various attractions:
- The Alpine Sensation, an immersive exhibition tracing the history of the Jungfrau railroad and Europe's highest station
- The Sphinx observation terrace, offering panoramic views of the Alpine peaks and the Aletsch glacier
- The Ice Palace, a network of tunnels carved into the glacier
- The snow-covered plateau, accessible all year round for an unforgettable walk
From the Sphinx terrace, you can admire the Aletsch glacier, the longest glacier in Europe at 22 kilometers in length. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this ice giant offers a unique panorama of the Swiss Alps. You can observe its spectacular crevasses and natural formations shaped by time and the elements while enjoying your guide's commentary and anecdotes.
Before heading back down, you can enjoy a meal in one of the high-altitude restaurants or sample Swiss specialties at the Lindt Swiss Chocolate Heaven (not included). Return by train via Kleine Scheidegg and Lauterbrunnen, then by coach to Zurich.
